Introduction

Updated: May 22

Hi everyone! I’m Aadi, a 10th grader with a passion for personal finance and investing. I created Grow Your Dough to help others learn how to take control of their money, invest smartly, and build habits that can lead to financial freedom, whether you’re a high schooler who just got their first job or someone looking to retire soon.

How it all started

My journey began in middle school when I started earning money working at Kumon as an instructor and refereeing soccer games on weekends. It wasn’t a lot, but it was mine, and I knew I wanted to do more than just spend it.

I opened a Robinhood account with help from my parents, and that’s where I started investing. I didn’t know much at first, but I researched stocks, learned about the market, and gradually started understanding options trading. I’ve made mistakes, had wins and losses, but with each step, I learned something.

I remember my first stock was going through a roller coaster ride. I invested in it and it fell by 20%, I panicked and sold all of it. Even though I didn’t lose much because of how little I had invested, it taught me how to analyze a company’s fundamentals and future effectively, instead of making rash decisions that seemed to have potential.
